Is it real?

Sitting at a cafe-yes cafe- this morning trying all I can to enjoy breakfast, but I can’t cause I fear an explosive could detonate soon. I fear another operation “wet e” all in the name of politics. Four years ago this was how the polity heated up but the magnitude was child’s play compared to what we are having now. I didn’t experience operation “wet e”, but I really fear.
In the almost six weeks I’ve been silent I’ve had to re read some books and the one that struck me the most was Cyprian Ekwensi’s “the burning grass” when Mai Sunsaye a fulani and the protagonist of the book was struck with “Sokungo” the Wandering sickness. He wandered the length of his territory to find and recover his family members who have gone to make names and living for themselves. As he discovered one, the sickness truck again!
As I read Cyprian Ekwensi’s 1962 book, I couldn’t help wonder if Nigeria or her leaders were suffering from the Sokugo…..
Abi,how can one describe the gun powder we are all sitting on calling it a country? I love my country and totally patriotic but I tell you it can be daunting
The ibrus doing their best to rival every Nigerian in size? Amos adamu saying he is in FIFA not to represent Nigeria but just a Nigerian in FIFA?(First the sentence makes nbo sense). The bombings linked to MEND then attached to the North? Its just plain crazy that in the midst of all these I could sit in a cafe and have a beautiful breakfast
I guess that is the paradox called Nigeria.

“Love yourself; Love your neighbour; Love your country; above all these Love God He is the essence of your being”
